株式会社オリィ研究所は2024年5月22日〜25日にフランス・パリ市で開催される世界最大級・フランス最大のオープンイノベーションカンファンレンス「VivaTechnology 2024 (VivaTech 2024)」からの招聘を受け、ブース出展をすることが決定しました。

本イベントはオリンピック直前で盛り上がるパリ市内で開催され、各国の有力スタートアップ、イノベーションに関するキーパーソンが集まる世界トップクラスのオープンイノベーションカンファレンスです。海外でオリィ研究所の「遠隔就労」を紹介する展示としては初の試みとなります。

分身ロボットOriHimeは日本で行われたG7広島サミットでも紹介された後、各国の大臣が視察に来られるほど海外からの注目が高まり、日本橋で運営している分身ロボットカフェDAWN ver.βロボットは多くの海外のお客様が訪れる観光スポットとしても人気が高まっています。

移動困難者が遠隔操作ロボットを用いて接客する事例は他国にも例がなく、こうした日本発、世界初の働き方の取り組みを国外に向けて紹介するため、海外のお客様向けに分身ロボットカフェをご紹介するPRムービーを制作しました。

  • 出演者：日本橋のカフェで働く日本在住の外出困難者が「OriHimeパイロット」として出演。日本での取り組みの紹介や、実際に働いてみた感想などをご紹介します。
  • 展示内容：
    • １．「プレゼンステージ」・・・OriHimeパイロットが「分身ロボットカフェ」の紹介動画を使いながら「なぜこの取り組みをしているのか」について遠隔プレゼンします。
    • ２．「OriHime BAR」・・・来場の皆様にOriHimeが設置されたカウンターでドリンクをオーダーしながらパイロットとのトークを体験していただきます（予約制）
    • ３．「OriHime操作体験」・・・来場者は東京日本橋に設置したOriHimeにVivaTech2024会場からログイン。遠隔でのコミュニケーションの体験をしていただきます。（時間指定あり）
  • スタッフ：日本橋のカフェで働く日本在住の外出困難者が「OriHimeパイロット」として参加。日本における取り組みの広がりや、実際に働いて気づき、変化などをご紹介します。

分身ロボットカフェDAWNは、JSTムーンショット型研究開発事業・目標１研究開発プロジェクト「身体的共創を生み出すサイバネティック・アバター技術と社会基盤の開発」（プロジェクトマネージャー：南澤孝太）にも参画しています。

【イベント概要】「VIVA TECHNOLOGY」はフランスの経済紙Les Echosおよび広告代理店Publicis Groupeが主催し、GoogleやLVMHグループなど仏国内外のオープンイノベーションを推進する大企業、各国の有力スタートアップ、イノベーションに関するキーパーソンが集まる世界トップクラスのオープンイノベーションカンファレンスです。毎年5月〜6月にフランス・パリにて開催されており、今回で8回目の開催。毎年仏大統領が登壇するなど、仏政府の強いバックアップを受けていることも特徴。コロナ禍後、久々のリアル開催となった2023年開催では174カ国から15万人の来場数を記録しました。

OryLab Inc. will exhibit at VIVA TECHNOLOGY 2024, 
the world’s largest open innovation conference in France.

OryLab Inc. has been invited by VivaTechnology 2024 (VivaTech 2024), one of the world’s largest and France’s largest open innovation conferences, to exhibit a booth in Paris, France, from 22nd to 25th May 2024.

The event will be held in the bustling city of Paris, just before the Olympics, and is one of the world’s top open innovation conferences where leading start-ups and key figures in innovation from around the world gather.

The avatar robot OriHime was introduced at the G7 in Hiroshima JAPAN is attracting increasing attention overseas, to the extent that ministers from various countries have visited to inspect it, and the BUNSHIN robot cafe DAWN held in Nihonbashi is becoming increasingly popular as a tourist attraction with many overseas visitors every day.

There are no examples in other countries of people with mobility difficulties using remote-controlled robots to serve customers, and in order to introduce this Japan-originated, world-first approach to working to the rest of the world, a PR film was produced to introduce the BUNSHIN robot cafe DAWN to overseas customers.

    • 1.Presentation Stage: OriHime pilots will give a remote presentation on “why we are doing this” using a video introducing the “alter-ego robot café”.
    • 2.OriHime BAR": Visitors can order a drink at the OriHime counter and talk with the pilots (reservations required).
    • 3.OriHime Operation Experience: Visitors can log in to the OriHime installed in Tokyo Nihonbashi from the VivaTech 2024 venue. (Time to be specified)
  • Staff: ‘OriHime pilots’ are people with difficulty leaving the house who live in Japan and work at a café in Nihonbashi. The spread of the initiative in Japan and their impressions of actually working there will be introduced.

Event overview:

VIVA TECHNOLOGY is organized by the French business newspaper Les Echos and the advertising agency Publicis Groupe, and is one of the world’s leading open innovation conferences, bringing together major companies promoting open innovation in France and abroad, such as Google and the LVMH Group, leading start-ups from various countries and key persons in the field of innovation. It is held every year from May to June in Paris, France, and this is the 8th time it has been held. It is also characterized by the strong backing of the French government, with the French President taking the stage every year. The 2023 edition, which was the first real event to be held for a long time after the COVID, recorded 150,000 visitors from 174 countries.
